As an independent financial
advisor and consultant, William H. Black has served large and small
clients throughout the nation and the world for more than 25 years
from his home base in Atlanta, Georgia. He has worked with
manufacturers, health care and other service firms, governments and
public sector entities, retailers, distributors, and numerous other
clients to analyze complex financial situations and work
effectively to their resolution. Dr. Black has served as a
court-appointed neutral auditor and valuator, and has testified in
Federal and State courts as an expert accountant and business
valuation specialist. He has taught undergraduate and graduate
courses in financial accounting and financial statement analysis,
accounting theory, managerial accounting, corporate governance, and
information systems at leading universities in the United States,
and with the Sinoway International Education
Group in Shanghai, China. He co-founded the Academy for Ethics in
Financial Reporting, and served as official historian and staff
support for the Pathways Commission addressing accounting education
in the United States.
